Sally Hansen Natural Beauty Makeup Inspired by Carmindy

Have you had the opportunity to try products in the Sally Hansen Natural Beauty Inspired by Carmindy makeup line yet?  I discovered this line one afternoon while shopping at Ulta.  I was intrigued by the Luminizing Face Primer.  I bought that and the Sun Glow Bronzer and was wowed! The line was developed by Makeup Artist Carmindy, host of TLC's hit show What Not To Wear.

Sally Hansen Natural Beauty Inspired by Carmindy cosmetics are formulated with minerals, natural extracts and active botanicals like soy, bamboo, papaya ad mango to benefit the skin and reveal te most beautiful you--naturally--and they are Paraben-free. 

The Luminizing Face Primer is a great product to use under foundation to give a radiant effect.  It's perfect for use under a tinted moisturizer, which is exactly the reason I had bought it.  Micronized pearls provide a subtle shimmer that is especially pretty on cheeks.  You could also use this primer on bare skin, to add a bit of shimmer highlight.  The only problem I had is with the pump; when you press down on the pump, the product has a tendency to shoot out.  I've used about a half a bottle and it is still doing this.  Obviously, not enough of a bother to not use the product, but it is a nuisance.

I was able to try out the Ken Paves Healthy Hair Shampoo and must say that it works very well.  I find the shampoo gentle enough to use every day on my color-treated hair.  It has a nice fragrance.  It does a good job of removing buildup from other hair products without stripping the color.  And my hair really feels clean.

Harajuku Lovers Fragrance Collection

The Harajuku Lovers Fragrance Collection captures the lyrics and iconography from Gwen Stefani's albums and appeals to anyone who appreciates a "fatal attraction to cuteness".  The fragrance was inspired by the electric street scene of the Harajuku shopping district in Tokyo.

There are 5 difference scents in the Harajuku Lovers Collection:

• "Love"is a sensuous floral scent that comes in a super cute and frilly bottle.  Love has notes of pink pomelo, rose and creamy vanilla orchid.

• "Lil Angel" is a fruity floral scent that comes in a sassy and sexy bottle.  Lil Angel has citrus floral notes of pineapple candied violet and lollipop accord.

• "Music" is a delicate floral scent that comes in a bottle that's tough, with an attitude!  Music has fruity floral notes of pear, sweet pea and sleek wood.

• "Baby" is a powdery musk scent that comes in a girlie and sweet bottle.  Baby is a powdery floral with notes of white rose, orange flower and white musk.

• "G" is a modern gourmand that comes in a bottle that's clearly the leader of the pack!  G is an oriental, fruity, gourmand fragrance with notes of coconut, jasmine and cotton woods.

The design of the bottles and coffrets are undeniably cute and will appeal to teens and 'tweens.  I have bought several of these as gifts and they have been a huge hit.
