Remergent Advanced Retinol Therapy and Clarifying Concentrate are two products that I've been using over the past 6 - 8 weeks that have dramatically improved the appearance of my skin. Retinoids have solid clinical data that supports their use in helping to resurface and rejuvenate the skin and accelerate cell turnover. This means clearer, smoother and better textured skin. Many women can't tolerate prescription retinoids (like Retin-A and/or Renova) though, experiencing irritation, redness or flaking skin. In that case, use of a retinol product may be a consideration.
Remergent has introduced Advanced Retinol Therapy, which is a 1% Retinol cream. The formula stimulates cell regeneration, boosts collagen production and diminishes the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. When I started to use the Advanced Retinol Therapy, I started out with one metered dose to my face every other night until I knew my skin could tolerate it and then went to nightly use after about a week. If you have sensitive skin, you may want to try Remergent's Progressive Retinol Complex, which is a .4% Retinol formulation. I've been really pleased with the results; improved texture and tone, as well as firming.
After applying the Advanced Retinol Therapy, I wait approximately 10 minutes, then apply the Clarifying Concentrate. The use of these two products in combination has led to a dramatic lightening of several areas of hyperpigmentation I have. Clarifying Concentrate has a high concentration of L-Ergothioneine, a super-antioxidant that effectively brightens the skin, improves discoloration and is non-irritating. I apply one metered dose am and pm after cleansing. The use of both products in combination has not caused my skin to be overly dry or irritated.
I've used several products in the Remergent line and I haven't been disappointed yet. These are remarkably efficacious products that use cutting-edge technology and deliver results. Remergent products are available through preferred dermatologists and plastic surgeons. A reminder: when using retinoids or retinol products, you must use a sunscreen on a daily basis.
