It was literally a case of art imitating life on Wednesday night, when Kat Von D's tattooed fans took over the Sephora on 34th Street in New York City.  Kat Von D, star of L.A. Ink, made a personal appearance at Sephora to debut her store-exclusive makeup line.  In a strange twist of fate, more people were talking about the people in line, than the makeup itself! 

People started lining up at 10:00 a.m., and by the 5:00 p.m. start time, over 1,000 people had showed up.  In just one scan, there were what appeared to be countless kids on summer vacation, overwhelming guyliner, black T-shirts, studded suspenders and thousands of tattoos, including the painted star eye tattoos, just like Kat.
