Illamasqua, the cult beauty brand from the U.K., is known for it's intense colors and dramatic look. Not for the shy, this is big-time bold makeup. When it first launched in the US back in October, I was curious about the line, but thought it might be a little too showy for me.

The Ellis Faas Human Colours Collection looks to the human palette for makeup range that complements and flatters all skin tones. The premise is that the colours that exist naturally in our bodies are universal; shared by each of us.
Who is Ellis Faas? I admit, I wasn't familiar with the name, but was intrigued by the concept of the cosmetics line. Ellis Faas is an Amsterdam-based makeup artist who was named one of the most influential makeup artists of her generation by Vogue Paris. She has worked extensively with Mario Testino, one of the most sought-after photographers in the world.
