New Lipstick from CHANEL: Rouge Coco Hydrating Creme Lip Colour

 

CHANEL is launching a new line of lipstick, hoping to capture the imagination of millions of women that have switched to lip gloss.  Rouge Coco Hydrating Creme Lip Colour was created by Peter Philips, CHANEL'S global creative director for makeup, who states, "There's a whole generation of women who have never worn lipstick--they were raised on gloss". His goal for Rouge Coco Hydrating Creme Lip Colour is to provide the "one-swipe" coverage of a gloss without the dabbing and blotting typically required of a lipstick.

Fashion Week for Fall/Winter 2010 is over...the Winter Olympics are on...those are the headlines of my past week.  My inbox was full of things to tell you about; here's what made my radar this week:

• Illamasqua, the edgiest, nighttime makeup brand, is looking for the next hot Nail Varnish color, and beginning on February 21, 2010, it could be created by you! Submit a description of your dream color and what inspired it, along with an image or photograph, and you could have your shade created by Illamasqua. 

To enter, in 50 words or less, submit a description of your dream color and what inspired it; pictures, photographs, swatches, etc. to Illamasqua. You can submit only ONE entry and entries can be submitted by email to: competition@illamasqua.com. The contest is open globally from Feb 21, 2010 through March 14, 2010.  Good luck!

Spring 2010 arrives at CHANEL with a makeup collection of clean, classic neutral colors that are infinitely wearable and effortlessly chic.  In an homage to Coco Chanel, Peter Philips, Global Creative Director of CHANEL Makeup, used the Les Impressions de CHANEL collection to create a pure, fresh beauty look for the Spring-Summer 2010 Ready-to-Wear runway show.

Is it really the end of 2009?  To a beauty blogger, that just means "on to bigger and better" in terms of beauty products. After testing hundreds of products this year, I've done the work for you to find the best of the best.
