The new limited-edition Chanel Noirs
Obscurs Collection
could be considered avant-garde; it's definitely a bold makeup
collection. The colors are strong, but beautiful. So how to
wear the Chanel Noirs Obscurs Collection whilst not looking overdone or goth?
My advice is to not try to wear all the makeup in the collection at once. Pick one feature to
highlight--whether it's eyes or lips. Play up that feature and maintain balance by keeping the rest of the makeup muted. Less can be more with these intense colors.
Here are 3 ways to wear the new Chanel Noirs Obscurs Collection:
A second way to wear the Chanel Noirs Obscurs Collection using makeup you already have, would be to first select a light/medium eyeshadow shade. A very light gray would be perfect. Apply that shade on the lid and contour using a shade from the Noirs Obscurs Collection. When you do this look, line the eyes with Le Crayon Yeux Precision Eye Definer in Demoniac. I've been using this liner and love it to really smoke up my eye shadow. Finish the eye with your favorite mascara or use Exceptionnel de Chanel Noir Obscur Mascara in Extreme Black.
The third look is all about the lips. You'll want to keep the eyes and face makeup subtle. A neutral eyeshadow, light eyeliner and mascara is all you need. Put the focus on a bold lip by applying the Rouge Allure lipstick in Maniac. For a less intense look, I apply the color very lightly to my lips with my ringfinger--almost as a stain--and then cover with gloss.
And lets not forget the nails. Le Vernis in Diabolic is my favorite shade of nail polish to date. I can't get enough of it! Dark and sultry, I adore this nail polish shade on short, manicured nails. The shade is really neutral and goes with everything. And of course, it wears like a dream. Don't miss out on this one!

I recently came across your blog and have been reading along. I thought I would leave my first comment. I don't know what to say except that I have enjoyed. Really a nice post here!
